قال المهندس طارق الملا وزير البترول والثروة المعدنية أن قطاع البترول أطلق خطة التطوير والتحديث ، بما في ذلك برنامج لتحديث آلية جذب الاستثمار الأجنبي، حيث يشتمل نموذج الاتفاقيات البترولية على أحكام لتشجيع الشركاء الدوليين على الاستثمار في مصر ، مع الأخذ في الاعتبار ارتفاع تكلفة الاستكشاف والإنتاج – وخاصة في مناطق المياه العميقة في البحر المتوسط – وكذلك عامل الخطر الذي ينطوي عليه الأمر.

وأضاف وزير البترول فى حوار مع “مجموعة إكسفورد للأعمال”،  من أجل مواجهة هذه التحديات ، قمنا بتحديث شروط الاتفاقيات لضمان عائد عادل للاستثمار ، وتشجيع الشركات الأجنبية على تأسيس نفسها في مصر وزيادة تطوير مشاريع جديدة.

The petroleum agreements model includes provisions to encourage international partners to invest in Egypt, taking into account the high cost of exploration and production – particularly in deepwater areas of the Mediterranean – as well as the risk factor involved. In order to accommodate for these challenges, we have updated the terms of the agreements to ensure a fair return on investment, encouraging foreign companies to establish themselves in Egypt and increase the development of new projects
