قال المهندس طارق الملا وزير البترول والثروة المعدنية، أنه فى اطار برنامج تطوير وتحديث قطاع البترول، تم إنشاء نظام لمناقصات النفط والغاز ، و نموذج محدث لاتفاقيات البترول ، مما يجعل القطاع أكثر جاذبية للمستثمرين.

وأشار  وزير البترول فى حوار نشرته” مجموعة أكسفورد للأعمال”، إلى أن إنشاء بوابة إلكترونية للتنقيب والإنتاج سيساعد على تعزيز فرص الاستثمار في النفط والغاز، مضيفا” ونتيجة لذلك ، أطلق قطاع البترول أول مزايداة  للبحث عن النفط والغاز فى البحر الأحمر لعام 2019 .

ولفت إلى أنه تمت أيضا مراجعة شروط الاتفاقيات المتعلقة بالمناطق المكتشفة حديثًا ، مثل غرب البحر المتوسط والبحر الأحمر ، لجعلها أكثر قدرة على المنافسة وجاذبية للمستثمرين ، الذين يجب عليهم التعامل مع التحديات الكامنة في العمل في مثل هذه المناطق.

The oil and gas bidding system was established, along with an updated model for petroleum agreements, making the sector more attractive for investors. Furthermore, the creation of an online portal for exploration and production will help to promote investment opportunities in oil and gas. As a result, the petroleum sector launched the first international offshore bidding round for 2019 to explore for oil and gas in the Red Sea. Also, the terms of agreements regarding newly discovered areas, such as the West Mediterranean and Red Sea, have also been revised to make them more competitive and attractive to investors, who must cope with the challenges inherent in working in such regions.
